Gerbera Flower -Framed Pressed Flower Art

Part of the Floral Poetry collection by artist Anyi Botteri of Ayni Artesana, this artwork brings together two things I treasure deeply: literature and nature.

This piece features a real flower that I carefully pressed and preserved by hand over the course of a month using traditional flower-pressing methods. During this time, it was gently tended to as it slowly dried, allowing its natural shape, color, and texture to remain as intact as possible. This patient process honors the flower’s beauty while transforming a fleeting bloom into a lasting work of art.

Paired with a poem fragment in Spanish by Claribel Alegria this artwork invites reflection on joy that overflows the heart like living branches in motion.

The words, like the flower itself, are a small treasure preserved in time.
